21years old. Live in SC and love SPL
i started running kicker audio about 4 to 5 years ago competing against my friend who always ran memphis in High School. Well I saved up and started out with just one 15 L7. Two months later I wanted it louder and went with two L7's that were running off of a HiFonics 1606D amp. I ran that for about 2 months and sold them to get dual 4 ohms and run 2 1606D amps instead of just one. I ended up hitting a SPL record for Kinetic batteries back in 2009 for Florida. Later one summer day I started my car and the amps just literally blew up. So I finally just went ahead and went with everything kicker and got the Zx2500. I ran the Zx2500 to just the two 15's i had at the time and I was sold that this was the loudest system around. Going to numerous car shows are over SC it was proven that I was. Getting bored with just the two I ended up selling everything and going with my dream 4 15's! I just didn't want to do a little 4 15 set-up. I wanted to go with 4

Sat, 08/28/2010 - 3:10pm - Login to Commenttimtaylor091982- hey sorry man i've been so busy with my new busniss i started up but all these subs are in their own seperate box(2.75CuFt). I built them sealed just so i could keep that sound quality good, and over the last 6 years i've never blown kicker subs doing sealed boxes. I know it won't be as loud, but honestly whenever a girl get's in my truck even half way turned up is way to loud for her lol. but if you take anything out of this know that for each 2 L7's you should have a Zx2500. and tons of batteries with at least 2 alternators. i hope that build goes smooth for you, and i bet that thing is gonna blow doors off ppl driving next to you
Wed, 06/23/2010 - 11:58pm - Login to Commentkoasatiboy -thanks man, i'm def. gonna agree with you that i need a second amp. at the time i bought the subs i didn't have the extra cash to dump on another Zx2500. and now if i got that second amp i would need to swap out all the L7's
Wed, 06/23/2010 - 11:53pm - Login to CommentI'm fixin to run 6 subs in a wall similar to yours. I'm wondering how your wall is set up. Does each sub have it's own enclosure or what? Hit me back so I can get this bad boy bumpin. Once again, I really like your setup. Tim
Tue, 05/25/2010 - 7:08pm - Login to CommentWell first off, just wanna say it looks really good. So here's my questions. What ohm are your subs? How do you have them wired up, series or bridged? And how is your wall set up? Is it just a wall or does each sub have it's seperate box? If it's just a box, your loosing alot of power. The subs will be competing with eachother which means your loosing bang. Anyways, I'm sure you know all this already. Check me out. I just set up a profile a few days ago. Really like the pics though. Take it easy. Tim
Tue, 05/11/2010 - 9:22pm - Login to CommentReally nice setup ...... u should really get another 2500 it makes a night and day difference. check my system out!!
Fri, 05/07/2010 - 8:15pm - Login to Commentyeah because you cant argue what you dont know son. trust me i been doing car audio a long time and have friends that do it for a living. point blank your aruging about something you dont know about. i dont need to check installs cause all mine is fine and i know what i got is good. i understand you love kicker so do i. but you cant just put all other brands down when you dont know about them. that just makes you look like an idiot.
Mon, 04/12/2010 - 10:44am - Login to CommentI would love to sit here and argue with a "back-yard installer" all day but, you seem to be doing a fine job of looking like an idiot without any input from myself.
Mon, 04/12/2010 - 10:29am - Login to CommentBtw you might wanna try your install again....
i can tell you dont know what the heck ur talking about. read up on audioque amplifiers dude. and it doesnt have fuses. it pulls 460amps external. just like kicker 2500 pulls 300amps external. it shows the inside of the amplifier too. so your saying you believe everything about kicker? because why? same difference with anyother company dude. audioque is a nice company that is putting out cheap for they stuff to get people to reconize them and im pretty sure later on they gonna be alot more money. and what if they not trying to make money off of people you dont think its a good company to make people happy and be affordable? you just think every company is out to rip peoples pockets?. point blank kicker amplifiers are over priced for what they do.
Mon, 04/05/2010 - 9:45pm - Login to CommentL......O.....L..... 4300watts if lightning strikes. Dont believe everything ya read man. I would be willing to bet that the amp has like 3 30 amp fuses on it ? you can not judge an amplifier by its exterior. I promise you that the internal components of an amplifier are far more important than what ya can see on the outside. As far as the freq. adjustment goes, you are aware that the human hearing response is between 20 - 20K hz right ? pretty sure just cuz the amp is adjustable down to 15hz doesnt really give it an award of any sort. All i can say yet again is, ya get what ya pay for.
Mon, 04/05/2010 - 11:09am - Login to Commentnah kicker amplifiers are alil too pricey for what they do. audioque has a 4300wat amplifier that is built like a brick house, and you look at the crossover settings its better than the kicker 2500. the hz go from 15-200hz. kicker only does 25-200hz. and plus its 4300watt rms with 4 power and ground connections. i know later once audioque becomes big there gonna rise there prices but there just getting started. check them out and they only cost $750. same as a kicker 2500. any amplifier with 4 power and ground connections gotta be a kick butt amplifier. and for that price thats a steal dude.

Mon, 03/15/2010 - 12:03pm - Login to CommentKeep in my mind you get what you pay for. There is a reason that a ZX2500.1 cost more than some random " 4000 watt " amp. theres much more to it than just what the manufacture claims the " total power " output of an amp is.
Mon, 03/15/2010 - 10:21am - Login to Commenti'm working on mine now i'm running 4Zx1000.1 on four cvx 15
Sun, 03/14/2010 - 9:10pm - Login to CommentGood lookin out bro
Thu, 03/11/2010 - 11:01am - Login to Commentwell the kicker 2500 is pretty pricey too $750. if you look around you could get great amplifiers that put out around 3000 to 4000. around $800.00. like audioque.com check up with them and sound stream they have 4000watt amplifiers that are $800.00 shipped and i think cheaper
Wed, 03/10/2010 - 9:18pm - Login to Commentthnx 4 the info. i just had to get the gothic 4 now b/c of my budget @ the time. I should work towards a x 2500.1 huh?
Wed, 03/10/2010 - 2:15am - Login to Commentthose power acoustik amplifiers dont really put out 3200rms. im not really sure how much but i have a audioque 2200 and it hit harder than when i have the power acoustik 5500. plus if you know the power and ground is only 4 gauge unless you get the power acoustik LFA model then its 0 gauge. but kicker cvx's can take 1,500rms without blowing
Tue, 03/09/2010 - 1:45pm - Login to CommentI gota quick question, i have two CVX 15s in a sealed box. Running off 1 Power Acoustik Gothic series. 3200 rms @ 1 ohm. I dont have the gain up much, but how much can these take? this is my first pair of them
Tue, 03/09/2010 - 11:37am - Login to CommentCheck out the Denali on my page. It's done right. It's crazy loud for only being 4 15's..... in a vehicle like a trailblazer or any SUV provides the perfect air space enviroment for a properly built ported enclosure.. If youre worried about the math for the boxes rather than using some random online software give Kicker tech a call they will help you with the boxes to have them built to spec for whatever Kicker sub(s) that you are runnin in your vehicle. I think you're really missing out on the potential of your system by running them off of a single ZX2500.1 and in sealed enclosures.
Wed, 03/03/2010 - 3:15am - Login to Commentyeah i know exactly what your saying I honestly didn't know what i was thinking when I was buying everything. But i'm in the process of selling all 4 of them and getting the right ohms. I remember before I had the wall I had the 2500 on just the 2 and it had the 15's almost hitting the back of the grill. lol I actually hit the state record for SPL with that set-up down in FL. I have a pic of it on here.
Tue, 03/02/2010 - 11:49pm - Login to Comment4 15s only on that one 2500? You should def. be runnin 2 of those bad boys to get the full potential out of this system. It's always better to be over powered and turn her down. Clean install, love it. Ive got that same subs as youve got just 2 but also running 2500rms.
Tue, 03/02/2010 - 12:14am - Login to CommentIt is all in the port size. If you mess that up it can kill the way the box sounds. That's why I usually don't mess with the ports. I have my friend help me out on that. Your best bet is to go on google and type in Subwoofer box builder. There will be something on there that tell you how to make the port for how big your box is.
Sun, 02/28/2010 - 1:34pm - Login to Commentknow how to tune ported boxes??
Thu, 02/25/2010 - 2:24pm - Login to Commenti know you dont favor them, but do you know the mathematics behind it??
i have boxes to spec CuFt, but now i need to know how to "tune" the boxes, and i have been told; "its all in the port size"
You'll be in love with the 2 15's for sure. But no I'm not going to port them. I know I'm losing a lot of DB, But right now my system is really tight and hits highs and lows. I have never blown a 15 in a sealed box. Not dogging ported, I just haven't been a fan of them for a daily driver
Tue, 02/23/2010 - 11:23pm - Login to Commentthats wassup. i dought your gonna blow the front windshield tho it takes alot to do that. yeah alot of times those meter they have at car shows are always off. you never know what your gonna hit unless its at a pro car show with the computer meters. im soon to get another 2 15's and amplifier. gonna have 4 15's ported
Mon, 02/22/2010 - 9:59pm - Login to CommentWithin the next 3 months. I love the way they sound but I just want the front windshield to blow. lol At the last car show i went to I hit a 152.1 one on a term lab but I highly doubt it was that high. I think the meter wasn't calibrated or it was just a cheap term lab
